Those were beautiful days
Only food, fun and play
Tension free all the ways
In the night, while feeding me
My mother used to tell me stories
I don't remember but she says
There were no sorrow, nor grief
Earlier we slept on mother's lap
In friendship, neither deceit nor gap
When we used to play cop and thief
There were no thoughts of profit and loss
Oh! How beautiful those days!
There were wonderful days
Neither fear of exam, nor any stress
Fighting with siblings and crocodile tears were usual
But bonding of love was stronger and deeper
If realising those moments, enough to bring smile
Oh! How beautiful those reminisces!
